cool piggyback website
i found a website that lives off of hashmarks (#). it's pretty neat. it's sort of like twitter, but it's only for people who work in the company, so it's updated continually by all the staff.

flexible web layouts
I stumbled upon this nifty little article that deals with liquidity of web sites. It's written by a web developer from Brighton, England. He seems to know a thing or two about we layouts. Anyway, take a look here.
comp so far
Hey everyone! How are your comps coming out? I think I'm doing ok. I still have textures to add and images to create. But here it is so far:
Please give me some feedback on my site! I'll be coming around to see everyone's blogs shortly to give any feedback I can.

the overload
So I was going on to Twitter to see if there was any good web-related news to post to everyone, but I got this message instead:
I was kinda taken aback. I haven't gotten an over capacity page in a loooong time. Well, at least they softened the initial surge of frustration with a cute vector graphic. Go them. Always on their toes.
In other news: I was exploring the inner workings of my PS3 and stumbled upon the web browser they have. I must say, most of the time it was horrible to navigate. The left side is all cut off, scrolling around the page is super hard, ect. But then I stumbled upon Youtube's website. It's ahead of the times. Youtube made it so that their site was easily viewed from this particular platform. It was simple and sleek in design and it was very easy to navigate around.
But then the inevitable happened: it stopped using the awesome setup and defaulted back to the regular website. You could still see the videos, they streamed well enough; but it was again, cut off on the left, horrible to scroll around, ect. So they have the technology and coding to make some pretty nice interfaces, it just needs to be perfected still. I can't wait until they do.
[sorry i couldn't snap a pic. the site defaulted right when i went to grab my camera]

Resumés aren't for word anymore
I found this sweet link via deviantart on facebook:
This Link Here
It's a site that found 40 resumés that shattered the bottle of conformity and spilled some creativity all over them.
I hope you all will enjoy!

Here's a helpful link for making sure all the files are there when making an ipod/ipad app icon. Brought to you by Apple, via AIGA, via Twitter.
The Link
I hope this comes in handy for later in the semester.

Welcome to the World of My Mind
Hello world. [well, mostly my web 1 class]. For my first blog post ever I wanted to share something that I found inspiring. I got a tweet from AIGAdesign the other day and I wanted to share it all with you. The Title of the interview/ramble is "Anonymous asked: What advice would you give to a graphic design student?" It's a nice little ramble that covers a lot of bases and makes you think, reflect, and look forward to tomorrow. I hope you all like reading it!
